Forgiveness

Part three

Forgiveness with Jesus started at Easter time. Remember how Jesus was crucified
on the cross, and how He died for us. He died for the Forgiveness of sin. The sin
of people all around the world, for each generation that is and is to come. Sin is
when we do wrong, and it doesn't matter what we did, if it is wrong in anyway, it is
a sin. If we sin we have to be forgiven. Jesus is the one who forgives, but you also
have to forgive. You have to forgive yourself when you do wrong; and you have
to forgive others for doing wrong to you.

Forgiving someone is very special. It comes from your heart; if your really do forgive. When we pray for forgiveness, it is very important to ask for your own forgiveness. For everything you have done wrong. Then you will be free of sin and full of love, to be able to forgive those who sinned against you. As we have said in the last bible study we did, you have to ask Jesus for forgiveness. We do that by praying. It is a really good idea to add your prayers for forgiveness to your bed time prayers. But it does not matter when or where you pray, Jesus will always be there to hear you and answer your prayers.

Some people like to pray before going to bed. Some pray while walking to school or work. Some pray by singing. Yes by singing. You can pray where ever you wish. You can pray in anyway you wish. All you have to do is talk, or sing to Jesus. Then you are praying. Whatever you wish to say, even if it is just a nice little "Hello Jesus, I love you!" Jesus will answer you with a whisper of the wind or a beautiful sunset, or a thought in your mind. He answers us in so many different ways. When He answers, if you truly love Jesus you will know He has answered you.

Lets say a prayer together and ask our Lord Jesus to forgive us and those who have sinned against us.

Prayer for forgiveness:

Father I thank you for all your blessings. I thank you for providing for us. I thank you for guiding and helping us, for keeping us from all evil. Thank You Jesus!

Lord I ask for forgiveness for all the things I have done wrong. You know my heart Father. Please forgive me. Thank You Jesus!

Lord I ask for forgiveness for all those who have sinned against me. For those who have hurt me, or been cruel to me. Those who have done wrong. I also ask you Father, to forgive my friends for their sins and to bring them closer to Your love and guidance.

You are a good and merciful Lord and I Thank You Jesus! Amen

There are times when it is very hard to forgive. We try very hard to forgive people who hurt us really bad. So if you have trouble with forgiving ask for help. Who do you ask?

Now that is easy! We ask Jesus to help us to forgive these people. We pray to Jesus for forgiveness and add something like this:

Prayer of Choosing Forgiveness

I thank you Jesus, You are a true and merciful Lord. I CHOOSE to forgive these people who have hurt me. Lord please help me to forgive, please help me in my unbelief. I thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus.

By choosing to forgive you are half way there. By asking Jesus for help to forgive when you have a hard time too, you are being wise. But if you do not pray for the forgiveness of sins, either that you have done or that others have done to you. Then you are silly and foolish. No one can take on such a responsibility all by themselves. Not even adults. Adults have to ask for help too. Jesus is there with you to help you. He will carry you when you fall. All you have to do is ask for His help. This is the greatest way to succeed. This is one of the many reason I Love Jesus so very much. Because He first loved me. He is always there for me. He is always there for you too. Because………..
