Some people will say He is a special invisible friend.

Some will say He is the brightest star in the sky.

Some will say He is mysterious.

Some will say He is your brother.

Well let me tell you, He is all that and much much more.

I can honestly tell you Jesus is the one who makes all your wishes come true. He is the one who comforts you at night when the shadows become scary and Mommy and Daddy are sound asleep. He is the one who whispers quietly in your mind to stop when you are about to cross the road without looking. He is the one who will walk quietly and invisibly next to you when you are sad and lonely. He is the one who makes sure Mommy and Daddy have the money they would not normally have to be able to get you that very special Birthday Present.

We will be looking at a simple word that will be a HUGE thing in your life, and that is

"FAITH"

The bible tells us that if we Ask for something it will be given to us, if we seek or look for something we will find it and if we knock the doors will open. You know if you ask your Mommy and Daddy for things they will give it to you if it is good for you or if you are good. Moms and Dad's can give us all wonderful things, toys, candy and ice cream. That's what parents do. Jesus gives us other things. Things that we may not necessarily be able to taste or touch or play with, but things we need, hope for and love anyway.

When the bible says "Ask and you will receive" it means if you need something or hope for something, just like wishing for a friend or making a wish when you blow out the candles on your birthday cake. Jesus hears you asking for these things. Now if it is what you need then when the time is right Jesus will make it happen for you. But, there is something you have to do to help Him know it is what you really need. You have to BELIEVE, this is called having FAITH. If you believe in Jesus, and believe that He hears you, and believe that if it is right for you, He will make sure you get it. You might have heard Mommy or Daddy say "Have Faith!" What they are really saying is Believe.

Now when the bible says "Seek and you will find" it means if you are looking for something important to you, like a friend or someone to trust with a very special secret or thing, or if you are looking for an answer to something that is really bothering you. These are not things you can see or touch, right? Well this is where that word Faith comes again. You have to believe that Jesus has heard you. You have to believe that He will send someone who will be the answer to what you are looking for. You will know in your heart when that someone comes just like you know in your heart that you pet loves you, even if they can't tell you. If you truly believe that Jesus will make what you are looking for come, then He will make real sure that it does.

"Knock and the doors will open", sounds silly huh? Doors can't open unless there is someone there to open them, right? Well yes it is in a way, but there are other doors that you can't see that can open for you in life too. Special doors. Knocking doesn't always mean to bang your fist on something. You can knock on someone's heart asking for their love and acceptance. You can knock on hearts by being a very polite and nice person, by being helpful and caring and giving your love to them without asking for anything in return. If you can give love, caring and kindness, you are knocking on that persons heart. Jesus will makes sure that person's heart opens to you and you receive their love in return. You can knock on Jesus' heart simply by saying, "Jesus I believe in you, I want you beside me in my life."

The biggest and best thing you can ask for is Jesus. The best thing to look for is Jesus. The greatest heart in the universe to knock on is Jesus' heart. All you have to do to achieve His answer is to Believe, be kind and generous to others and make sure you read your bible and talk to Jesus. Not much to ask for is it?

In return you will have the the best teacher, the best listener, best friend you could ask for in Him, and more love than you could imagine possible.

Before you go to bed be sure to say your prayers, and ask Jesus to be part of your life.
