Also there are two other key words in this nugget. They are, 'thirsts' and 'longs'. Notice it is the soul that thirsts and the flesh that longs. Yes I know you may have a hard time with getting into prayer, but you must start early (now). When you start now you begin communicating with your God. If you are diligent, you will thirst and long for Him, because you will want more of Him, as you experience him. But the word is diligence.

Daniel was a diligent seeker and also was fervent in prayer. He went before God in prayer three times a day. He also had many wonderful experiences with God through his prayer life.
